A quick look on Edward Scissorhands

Edward Scissorhands, played by Johnny Depp, was tagged as “The story of an uncommonly gentleman”.  He is so uncommon that he has scissors for his hands and fingers, hence the name.  This is so since he is merely an unfinished creation of an inventor.  Unfortunately, the inventor suffered a heart attack just before he was able to give Edward a normal pair of hands.

The film tells the story of how he was isolated for years in a tower way up high until an Avon lady finds him and takes him back to her small town.   He is then faced with the struggles of adapting to society but eventually finds use for his “unique” hands.  He finds himself giving stylish hair cuts to the locals and when Christmas time comes along, making ice sculptures.

Unfortunately, all does not end well.  Just like any other tragedy, he is forced back to his tower and is forever separated from his love.

Miss Scissorhands Costume

The Miss Scissorhands Costume is a female take on the lead role of the film.  You too will give guys heart attacks just at the mere sight of you in this “SHEAR” and sexy goth inspired ensemble.

The upper half of this black one piece mini looks like it has been slashed as there are three cuts running across the high neck shirt.  Over it goes faux leather embellishments that look like belts crossing over from one side to the other.  Then it all leads to a short puffy skirt with chiffon lining.  Then for your neck you have a matching black choker.  Tie the whole look together with the thick black belt that features the exact same buckle as those on the leather embellishments and put on the black curly wig that comes with the package.

The final piece, and probably the most important, are the gloves.  So put on the pair that has scissors on each finger, all fake of course.  You wouldn’t want to cut  anyone by accident, now would you?

Since this look is an officially licensed product, you are sure to get nothing but the best.  However, if you want something different, but still something in the same line, there are a couple of fallen angel costumes that might just do the trick and be the perfect treat this Halloween.
